Edward Temoney Obituary

"God never said that the journey would be easy, but He did say the arrival would be worthwhile."

BLUFFTON, SC - Edward LeQuann Temoney, better known as "Quann," was born on August 8, 1977, in Dillon County, South Carolina, to Sharon Temoney-Davis and Edward Alexander McKellar. Quann gained his wings and transitioned from time to eternity on Thursday, April 8, 2021, at Hilton Head Hospital.

Quann attended the public schools of Latta, South Carolina, and graduated from Latta High School in 1997. After high school, he attended Allen University in Columbia, South Carolina. He then dedicated his life to working with the elderly from NC to SC and was a faithful worker at Home Helpers.

He accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Mill Branch Missionary Baptist Church. While he later joined another church family, he would attend church with his grandmother, Elease Temoney, whenever he was home.

Quann was a very extroverted person and made a friend wherever he went. He loved to travel with his family and to talk with his mother every day. Those that knew Quann best knew he loved to read, and you could catch him with a book in one hand and a plate in another. Quann took his love for reading and writing and published a book in 2014.

While Quann loved to meet new people, he loved to enjoy time with his family. He loved spending time with his wife and children. Together they explored the world and enjoyed life to its fullest. If he wasn't enjoying time with his mother, brother, and step-father over a bowl of spaghetti, he was at his grandmother's comforting her. He called and messaged his cousins, nieces, and aunts constantly, checking to ensure that they were doing well and ALWAYS to give a good laugh. He was Uncle Andre's driver and companion on the road and always the number one fan of his greatest gifts – his children. Quann was also a published author of two books.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to the love of his life, his wife, Elaine Temoney of the home in Hilton Head, South Carolina; his children: Michael Temoney, Malana Gaynor, Dreanna Chisholm of the home and his first born, Karon Temoney, of Latta SC; his loving mother, Sharon Temoney-Davis and step-father, Danny Davis of Latta, SC; his father, Edward Alexander McKellar of New Jersey, his mother-in-law, Marian Gaynor (deceased) of Hilton Head, SC, who preceded him in death, his grandmother, Elease Temoney and grandfather, Leonard, both who preceded him in death; a special grandmother, Annie Eula Davis of Dillon, SC; a special adopted uncle, Rev. Johnny (Deloris) Davis of Latta, SC; one brother, Nathan (Monique) Temoney of Greensboro, NC; four sisters: Shamika (Lamont) Raynor, Wendy Mckellar, Eliza Johnson, Tina (Dwayne) Burr; brother-in-laws, Ezekiel (Cherry Gaynor and Rashod Gaynor; sister-in-law, Jeannice Gaynor; three maternal aunts Lyndora (Andre) Hamlin, Sandra Temoney, and Brenda Campbell, who preceded him in death, all of Latta, SC; four maternal cousins who were raised with him, Shonanate Temoney of Phoenix, AZ, Andre Hamlin Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Renata Durant of Latta, SC, and Andrea (Tyler) Person of Charlotte, NC;  and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, other relatives, and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Leitner Funeral Home in Latta with interment to follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Leitner Funeral Home.
