Elease Drawhorn

Sister Elease Drawhorn was the daughter of the late Simon and Agnes Drawhorn.  She was born May 5, 1937, in Marion County, SC and departed this earthly life on Wednesday June 16, 2021, at her home in Latta, SC while surrounded by her family.

Sister Elease Drawhorn attended the public schools in Marion County.  She joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age where she was a faithful member who loved her church, pastor, and her Deacon Tyrene Horne. 

Sister Elease Drawhorn was a hard worker and loved to go in gardens to harvest vegetables for her family.  She may not have had much in life, but she gave what she could and shared with others.  She was also a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and a friend to all she met.  She had a passion for fishing and gardening.

Homegoing services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on June 20, 2021, at Latta High School Gym will interment to follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.  A public viewing will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Leitner Funeral Home. The care of Sister Drawhorn and her family has been entrusted to the family of professionals at Leitner Funeral Home.
