LATTA - Deaconess Lynn Dell Galloway, 58, departed this life on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at her home surrounded by her family. A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at Rest Haven Cemetery. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Leitner Funeral Home in Latta. The family will receive relatives and friends at 114 Rogers Street, Latta, SC 29565. The care of Mrs. Galloway and her family has been entrusted to the family of professionals at Leitner Funeral Home.
Deaconess Lynn Dell Galloway was born January 23, 1962. to the parents of Mae Frances Bethea (John Henry Bethea Sr. preceded in death) and Elford Jones Sr. (preceded in death) in Latta, South Carolina. Lynn Dell had dearly departed siblings to precede her in death, one sister Florine Lee and four brothers, Russell Harry Bethea, Elford Jones Jr, Donald Lee Bethea, and Frank Jones.
Deaconess Lynn Dell Galloway affectionately known as “Lynn Dell” was born and raised in Latta, South Carolina and she attended the Latta Area Schools. Lynn Dell accepted the Lord and Jesus Christ, as her personal Savior at an early age. Lynn Dell loved the Lord, she joined the St. John Missionary Baptist Church, and served faithfully on different auxiliaries. Lynn Dell was a homemaker, and she enjoyed the role of being a baby-sitter from time to time. She loved them all, especially her Lil Chris, Nae, and her niece Krissy.
Lynn Dell and James Milton Galloway Sr. joined became one in marriage on May 12th 1979, and has been joined literally “at the hip” every since for 41 years of marriage. Through this union they have three children, Cassandra L. Galloway (Charlotte, N.C.), James Milton Galloway Jr. (Clementon, New Jersey), and Matria S. Galloway (Latta, South Carolina). Lynn Dell has one grandchild she loves and cherished dearly, London O. Cobb.
Lynn Dell leaves to cherish her sisters, Vanessa Graham, Latta, South Carolina (Jeffery Graham), Bonnie Cherry, Bronx New York (Demetrius Cherry), Agnes J. Bethea “Nicky”, Latta, South Carolina; and her brothers John H. Bethea, Jr (Greensboro, North Carolina), and Teddy Jones (Rockingham, North Carolina).
Deaconess Lynn Dell leaves to cherish one mother-in-law of Latta, South Carolina, Lucille Galloway; Brother-in-Law. Ray Galloway (Virginia Beach, Virginia); and Sister-in-Law, Angela Galloway (Latta, South Carolina). Lynn Dell also leaves to cherish, a host of aunts and uncles, she loved them and they loved her, especially her “Uncle Baldhead” Eugene Jones. Lynn Dell (Aunt Lynn Dell) leaves to cherish, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews, she loved each one of them dearly. Lynn Dell has a host of cousins, some like brothers and sisters to her that she leaves to cherish. Lynn Dell was blessed to have so many friends she considered family. Special friends that she leaves to cherish, Barbara Murray, Luther Roberts, Barbara White.
